Beacon Hospice, an Amedisys company, is seeking Veteran Volunteers to provide companionship and support to patients who have served our country and are nearing the end of their lives.

Veterans share a special bond, and your understanding and empathy can bring comfort and dignity to fellow service members during their final days.

How You Can Make a Difference:

• Spend time with Veteran patients through conversation and companionship
• Celebrate their life and service
• Read books, write letters, or share stories
• Play games like chess, cards, bingo, or other board games
• Watch TV or listen to music together
• Participate in Veteran Pinning Ceremonies, honoring their service in a deeply meaningful way

Beacon Hospice provides comprehensive training and ongoing support for all volunteers. We ask for a commitment of just 1–2 hours per week for patient visits.
