    Descrição

Outcome School — Empowering Underserved Youth Through Tech, Leadership & Opportunity

Outcome School is a free, fully remote tech and leadership academy serving underserved youth, minorities, and career‑transitioning adults. We equip learners with real skills, real portfolios, and real confidence to enter the modern workforce. Our programs are powered by volunteers who believe in access, equity, and generational impact.

We are expanding our fundraising team and seeking a Grant Researcher who can help us identify the right funding opportunities to fuel our mission.

    🌟 Role Overview

The Grant Researcher plays a foundational role in Outcome School’s sustainability and growth. You will research grantmakers, foundations, corporate giving programs, and philanthropic organizations whose priorities align with our mission. Your work directly supports our ability to offer free tech education, mentorship, and career pathways to communities that need it most.

This is a great role for someone who loves research, enjoys connecting dots, and wants to make a measurable impact behind the scenes.

    🧠 Key Responsibilities

    • Identify and research grant opportunities that align with Outcome School’s mission, programs, and strategic goals
    • Build and maintain a database of potential funders, including deadlines, requirements, and funding priorities
    • Analyze eligibility criteria and summarize key insights for the grant writing team
    • Track trends in philanthropy, workforce development, tech education, and youth empowerment
    • Support the grant writing team by preparing background research, organizational fit notes, and funder profiles
    • Collaborate with the CEO and volunteer grant writers to prioritize high‑value opportunities
    • Monitor previously submitted grants and upcoming renewal cycles
    • Contribute to Outcome School’s long‑term funding strategy through research‑driven recommendations

    🎯 Ideal Candidate

You’ll thrive in this role if you are:

    • Curious, analytical, and detail‑oriented
    • Comfortable navigating databases, websites, and philanthropic directories
    • Passionate about education, equity, and community impact
    • Able to synthesize information clearly and concisely
    • Organized and proactive with follow‑through
    • Excited to be part of a mission‑driven, collaborative volunteer team

Experience with grant research or nonprofit fundraising is a plus, but not required. We welcome learners.

    ⏱️ Time Commitment

    • 1–3 hours per week
    • Minimum 3‑month commitment
    • Fully remote, flexible schedule

🌍 Why Volunteer With Outcome School

    • Directly support life‑changing opportunities for underserved youth and adults
    • Gain experience in nonprofit fundraising and grant strategy
    • Work with a visionary, supportive team committed to excellence and impact
    • Build your portfolio with meaningful, mission‑driven work
    • Help shape the future of a growing organization
