Google Apps Script Volunteer

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot existing Google Apps Scripts used in Google Sheets and Forms
• Ensure automated scripts (e.g., for data cleaning, geocoding, and field derivations) are functioning as intended
• Support integration of Google Forms with BigQuery via Apps Script
• Debug and fix issues in automation pipelines as they arise
• Collaborate with the data team to ensure quality and integrity of incoming form responses
• Document scripts and updates for easy future reference

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Google Apps Script (JavaScriptbased
• scripting for Google Workspace tools)
• Experience with Google Sheets, Google Forms, and basic BigQuery integration
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Ability to write clean, well-documented code
• Comfortable working independently on task-based assignments

Good to Have

• Familiarity with geolocation APIs (latitude/longitude conversions)
• Prior experience working with nonprofit organizations or on social impact projects
• Interest in gender justice, human rights, or social change
