The Cyrus Dallin Art Museum is seeking volunteer Tour Guides to share with guests the inspiring art and legacy of the celebrated sculptor, educator, and Indigenous rights advocate, Cyrus Dallin. Tour Guides play an essential role in educating visitors about the artistic and historical context of Dallin’s work and the ways in which his art and values inform the present. Additionally, Tour Guides perform simple operating tasks such as collecting admission donations and opening and closing the Museum.
No prior knowledge is required. We provide training to help volunteers become familiar with the collection, lead tours, and knowledgeably answer questions about Dallin’s life, art, and advocacy. Ideal candidates have an interest in art history and/or Indigenous history, are conformable with public speaking, and enjoy meeting new people. Regular volunteers receive the benefits of our gold membership, which includes membership benefits at over 1,200 museums in North America through the North American Reciprocal Museum Association. At this time, we are only recriuting volunteers over 18 years old.
