Have you ever wanted to do something AMAZING, but didn't know where to start?

The American Youth Literacy Foundation 501 c 3 has been teaching children how to read for 23 years. We started right here in Collegeville, then moved to Phoenixville and now we're teaching children in our new King of Prussia location.

We've taught all over greater Philadelphia and Central New Jersey and starting in 2012 we tutored kids all over the United States. Then, in 2024 we expanded to South Africa, Malawi, Uganda, Rwanda and Nigeria. We're looking at opportunities in China, Haiti, Nicaragua, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Peru, Vietnam and many other countries as well.

FUNetix teaches children how to read in 6 weeks or less using our patented technology called the FUNetix 12 Hour Reading App, along with motivated learning coaches / tutors who support students through their "Learn to Read" journey. The app is an AMAZING interactive experience that goes from the ABC's to a 2nd grade reading level in just 12 hours of total play time.

Kids come to our center 3 times per week for 45 minutes to immerse themselves in a journey of discovery to "Learn a secret, magic code and find hidden treasure." When they finish all the modules they are reading at a 2nd grade, 2nd semester level and have a new found pride in their achievement and confidence to go out and conquer all of the grade level tasks that await them at school!

You can be a hero to these children, a supporter, a cheerleaders, a friend as they learn a life skill that will carry them to far away places. It's super easy for both the students and the learning coaches.

We are looking for 4-6 volunteers who can be available for 2 hour blocks from 3:30-8pm weekdays (three days per week, e.g. MWF or TTHF etc.)

We are looking for self confident, reliable, outgoing, cheerful, responsible high school students who have compassion for younger students who may be struggling with reading and who need encouragement and support. We will provide you 2 hours of training in the curriculum so you will know exactly what to do.
