Pet Therapy For Hospice Patients

At Legacy Hospice, we are firm believers that our patients and their families come first to provide excellent care during this transitional period of time in life’s journey.

We are currently seeking for volunteers with certified Therapy Dogs to visit with our patients throughout the Milwaukee, Waukesha, Jefferson, Dodge, Walworth, Racine, Kenosha county and surrounding areas. We are able to provide a flexible schedule dependent on the handler's schedule and proximity of available locations.

These visits will be one on one with patients who will greatly benefit from a visit with a therapy dog. These sessions are demonstrated to have positive effects such as reduced anxiety and stress, increased feelings of relaxation, and an overall improved outlook through companionship.
