Volunteer at Friendship Place’s 35th Anniversary Gala

Friendship Place is seeking volunteers to support our 35th Anniversary Gala & Awards on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at the Conrad Washington, DC.

This special evening will bring together supporters, community partners, and friends of Friendship Place to celebrate 35 years of helping people experiencing or at risk of homelessness rebuild their lives.

Volunteers will assist with a variety of event needs that may include guest check-in, greeting and directing attendees, ushering, event setup, coat check, and general event support.

Please note: Specific volunteer roles and individual arrival and departure times are still being finalized. The Gala begins at 6:00 PM, and some volunteers may be asked to arrive earlier to assist with setup and guest arrival. Registered volunteers will receive their specific assignment, arrival time, and additional event details prior to September 17.

We are looking for volunteers who are friendly, flexible, dependable, and comfortable assisting wherever needed during a large special event.
