Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly's philosophy, programs and activities are focused on alleviating loneliness among older adults across Chicago. The need for social interaction is critical to the human spirit - we believe that nurturing the soul is as important as feeding the body. The holiday season is a time to share the warmth of friendship and appreciation. On Christmas Day, LBFE will be visiting older adults and bringing along a special holiday meal. Volunteers would be assigned 2-4 elders to visit on Christmas Day, with a time commitment of about 3 hours with meal pickup at 9 AM or 10 AM.
Contact LBFE today to make an impact in an older adults' life! Attendance at an orientation session is required, as well as a background screen. To sign up please visit www.lbfechicago.org/volunteer, call (312) 455-1000, or email onboarding@lbfechicago.org for more information. More details will also be shared at orientation.
Thank you and see you soon!
