Volunteer Opportunity: Current or Former Educator – Community Moderator

CollabED is seeking current or former educators to serve as Community Moderators within our growing educator-led professional learning platform.

This role is designed for educators who understand the realities of the classroom and want to help shape thoughtful, respectful, and meaningful professional conversations. This is not a teaching role. There are no lesson plans, grading, or live instruction responsibilities.

What You’ll Do

• Help moderate educator discussion spaces by supporting productive, respectful dialogue
• Use your professional judgment to guide conversations back to purpose when needed
• Flag content that may be misaligned with CollabED’s values or community guidelines
• Support a culture of collaboration, reflection, and educator voice
• Serve as a practitioner lens to ensure conversations stay grounded in real classroom experience

• Individuals who value educator community, professional growth, and shared learning
• Educators who are comfortable facilitating discussion without dominating it
• People who understand that sometimes the most important role is listening, not leading
