    Descrição

    Adopt-A-Senior Volunteer Opportunity

Do you want to make a real difference in the life of a senior while learning about another culture, building friendships, and creating lasting memories?

We’re looking for caring, compassionate individuals to join our volunteer team and bring comfort and connection to older adults in our community. Whether through a friendly phone call or a personal visit, you can help reduce loneliness, uplift someone’s spirit, and show that they’re not alone — all on your own schedule.

How We Serve: Volunteers aged 18 or older assist isolated senior citizens living in the San Antonio area to provide companionship and basic needs. It's as simple as a phone call or as personal as a home visit.

There are many ways for you to volunteer:

      • Make Weekly or Monthly Wellness Calls – Volunteers connect with seniors by phone to offer friendly conversation and check in on their well-being—on their own schedule, whenever they have free time. If both feel comfortable, these connections can naturally grow into in-person visits.
      • Deployments – Jump into hands-on volunteer events packing and delivering essentials, meals, or holiday cheer. Plus, get involved in exciting annual events like can drives, fan distributions, and other impactful activities!
      • Senior Socials Fun, 3-hour monthly events where volunteers and seniors come together to share food, games, laughter, and meaningful conversation—helping seniors feel connected, supported, and less isolated.
      • Messages of Hope - Share kindness from afar by writing thoughtful notes, creating festive cards, or crafting decorations to brighten a senior’s day during special occasions.
      • Pantry Pick-Up & Deliver - Volunteers pick up pantry items from our main office and deliver them directly to seniors in need. Deliveries are flexible- you can do just one or as many as your schedule allows - helping ensure no senior goes without essentials.
