ConnectPlus Social Media Manager

Working Languages: English OR Chinese

Weekly Commitment: 3 hrs (1-2 posts/week)

Work style: Asynchronous, entirely online

ConnectPlus is seeking highly motivated individuals willing to join the organization’s leadership team as Social Media Managers. Managers will be responsible for creating 1-2 posts a week to ConnectPlus’ social media outlets, as well as posting an additional post and growing the organization’s following on those outlets proactively. Managers will have the choice of working on either our English-language social media team (focusing on Instagram) or our Chinese-language social media team (focusing on Xiaohongshu, which is analogous to Chinese Instagram, or Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok). Managers must be fluent in their team's language.

Position Responsibilities

• Administer ConnectPlus’ social media accounts, primarily on Instagram
• Create one original post every week in chosen team's language
• Post another post created by ConnectPlus’ graphic design department every week
• Respond to comments and follow requests
• Actively try to grow the following of ConnectPlus’ accounts

Required Skills

• At least in high school
• Willing to work asynchronously via email and various messaging platforms and respond to communications ASAP
• Microsoft Office and Google Drive proficiency
• Advanced fluency (reading and writing) in one of English OR Mandarin Chinese
