About Us
Project Sunshine is an international, volunteer-led nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing joy, creativity, and play to children and families facing medical challenges. Through play-based programming, we support the emotional well-being of pediatric patients by creating opportunities for creative expression, connection, and relief from the stress of medical care.
Project Sunshine programs reach children across the country through activity kits, virtual play experiences, and partnerships with medical facilities and disease-specific nonprofits. At the heart of our work is the belief that play is a powerful tool for healing.
Youth Chapter Opportunity
Project Sunshine’s High School Chapter Initiative empowers students to lead meaningful service projects in their schools and communities while supporting pediatric patients nationwide. Through school-based chapters and youth teams, students organize fundraising efforts, assemble activity kits for hospitalized children, and participate in national initiatives such as Project Sunshine’s annual Play-A-Thon.
This opportunity is designed for students who are passionate about service, leadership, and making a tangible impact. Chapters are supported by Project Sunshine staff and a Youth Leadership Council of student leaders who provide guidance, resources, and mentorship throughout the year.
