Museum Education Ambassador

Assist Kentucky Historical Society staff during our Field Trip season (March - May) present three different interactive carts that demonstrate the importance of coal, wool, and inventions in Kentucky's timeline. You may also be asked to:

• welcome groups to specific sites on KHS Campus (History Center, Kentucky Military History Museum, and Old State Capitol)
• Monitor various galleries
• Help facilitate events by interacting with families through hands on activities.
• distribute supplies for Learning Labs

Searching for volunteers that are willing to commit to one shift a week, but are open to all schedule availabilities! Shifts can be 2 - 6 hours with breaks scheduled accordingly. Training is required and will be held quarterly. The next one is: January 24th at 9:30am.

Best for retired, current, or pursuing educators with daytime availability and/or individuals with public speaking, customer service, or large groups varying from elementary to adult comfortability.
