Job Summary:
We are seeking a creative and driven Social Media Manager to drive engaging, brand content that amplifies our mission, builds community, and grows our online presence. The ideal candidate knows how to turn ideas into scroll-stopping posts, reels, stories, that inspire action and spark conversations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and create original content for all social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, TikTok, etc.).
- Post graphics, captions, videos, reels, and stories that align with the brand voice and messaging.
- Collaborate with the communications and outreach team to support campaigns, announcements, and fundraising efforts.
- Maintain and update a content calendar to ensure consistent posting and theme alignment.
- Monitor trends and adapt content for relevance and engagement.
- Engage with followers through comments, DMs, and shout-outs.
- Track and report performance metrics to inform content strategy.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in social media management (portfolio or sample links preferred).
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling, branding, and audience engagement.
- Proficiency with tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar.
- Excellent writing, editing, and grammar skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently or as part of a team.
- Passion for mission-driven work and a desire to make an impact through digital storytelling.
Preferred Skills:
- Photography or video editing experience.
- Familiarity with social media analytics tools (Meta Insights, Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.).
- Experience with nonprofit or cause-based messaging is a plus.
