    The time commitment is approximately 1.5-3 hours each week, including prep time. This time will vary by individual, based on how much time they put into their lessons. One-to-one pairs meet a minimum of once weekly for one hour.

    Do you have a passion for teaching adults?

    PBALC needs one-to-one volunteers to tutor non-English speaking adults in the English language. You do not need any special certifications, prior teaching experience, or second language skills. Permian Basin Adult Literacy Center provides training and constant support so that you and your student(s) will have everything you need for success!

    Please note- all volunteer instructors must be 18 or older. Volunteers will be required to fill out a volunteer application, pay a $38.00 criminal background check fee, and complete a volunteer orientation.
