For 15 years, The Honeycomb Project has reimagined youth volunteerism by empowering children ages 3–17 to play an active role in shaping their communities. Through family-centered programs, we engage kids and their parents in meaningful volunteer opportunities that address pressing issues—from food insecurity to climate action—while providing critical resources and support to local nonprofit partners.
Now, we’re bringing this model to the greater Washington, DC area and inviting families to join the movement.
Featured Project:
Help athletes in our community get in the game and experience the joy of sports! Volunteers will assist with sorting, organizing, and preparing sports equipment donated to Leveling the Playing Field. By supporting LPF’s mission to redistribute quality gear, your efforts help remove barriers such as cost and limited access to equipment.
This important work makes it possible for more kids to try new sports, stay physically active, build confidence, and feel included on and off the field. Together, we can ensure that every child has a fair chance to play, grow, and have fun through sports.
