Idealist/VolunteerMatch Administrator

We are seeking a volunteer with strong knowledge of Idealist/VolunteerMatch to help us maximize our presence on the platform. The Administrator will ensure that our organization’s opportunities are well-represented, up-to-date, and optimized for visibility to prospective volunteers.

Key Responsibilities

• • Manage and maintain the organization’s profile and postings on Idealist.
  • Create and update volunteer opportunities.
  • Optimize postings to increase visibility and attract the right candidates.
  • Track responses and engagement, sharing feedback with the team.
  • Ensure that those who express interest are routed to the correct team member for follow-up.
  • Provide guidance on best practices for using Idealist to connect with target audiences.
  • Monitor Idealist platform updates or changes and implement them.

Qualifications

• • Experience posting and managing listings on Idealist/VolunteerMatch.
  • Understanding of how to craft clear and appealing opportunity descriptions.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Prior nonprofit or volunteer-recruitment experience a plus.
