Volunteers Needed for FUN VYT Performing Arts Classes!

Valley Youth Theatre is in need of AMAZING Volunteers!

If you are interested in gaining experience working with children, we are in need of volunteers to assist with our Spring session of performing arts classes. Class volunteers/interns assist our Teaching Artists while interacting with our students, helping to build their self-esteem and establish a positive environment, and gaining valuable experience in teaching the performing arts.

We are happy to design a volunteer experience that utilizes your skillset, works with your schedule and allows you to obtain the experience and hours that you need!

Please note, we are immediately seeking volunteers for the classes below:

Musical Theatre (ages 5-8)

This engaging class is a VYT tradition – and an excellent introduction to the world of musical theatre! Students will find self-confidence, discover natural talents, let their imaginations soar and start building their skills in acting, song and dance in this fun, foundational class. All experience levels are welcome!

Tuesdays, 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM | March 24 - May 12, 2026|

AND/OR

INTRO TO ACTING (ages 9-12)

Improvisation, movement, voice, and character creation are the foundation blocks of this fun, energetic class. Students will learn fundamental acting techniques and the art of building an ensemble in an encouraging, supportive environment. Our teaching artists guide students through theatre games, vocal and physical exercises, monologue work and scene work. The culminating showcase is customized for each eight-week session and will highlight the talents and skills of the ensemble.
