Role Overview
Mentor A Promise is seeking an experienced and trusted Senior Director of Volunteer Relations & Organizational Accountability to lead volunteer governance, volunteer compliance, organizational conduct standards, internal investigations, accountability systems, and volunteer relations initiatives across the organization.
This leader serves as MAP's senior authority on volunteer governance and organizational accountability, helping ensure that volunteers operate within clear expectations, consistent standards, and a culture grounded in professionalism, respect, integrity, and mission alignment.
The Senior Director helps build systems that balance support and accountability while strengthening volunteer engagement and organizational effectiveness.

Volunteer Governance
Lead and oversee MAP's volunteer governance framework, including:
- Volunteer policies
- Volunteer standards

Help ensure consistency, fairness, and transparency across the organization.
Volunteer Relations
Support a positive and mission-aligned volunteer experience by:
- Addressing volunteer concerns
- Supporting conflict resolution efforts
- Promoting respectful communication
- Strengthening volunteer engagement
- Supporting volunteer retention initiatives
- Building volunteer trust and confidence
Help foster a healthy and professional volunteer culture.
Organizational Accountability
Develop and oversee systems that promote:
- Professional conduct
- Organizational standards
- Accountability practices
- Documentation standards
- Policy adherence
- Consistent decision-making
Help ensure expectations are applied fairly and consistently.
Internal Investigations
Lead and oversee investigations involving:
- Volunteer conduct concerns

Ensure investigations are conducted professionally, fairly, confidentially, and consistently.
Conflict Resolution & Organizational Support
Provide guidance and support involving:

Help resolve issues constructively and mission-first.
Performance Support & Volunteer Accountability
Partner with division leaders to support:
- Volunteer performance conversations

Policy Development & Education
Develop and maintain policies involving:

Partnership with Safeguarding & Compliance Teams
Work closely with:
