The Pikes Peak Challenge is an annual fundraising event benefitting the Brain Injury Association of Colorado. Drivers are an important part of our day, as they help shuttle participants to and from the hike up Pikes Peak.
Morning shift drivers are needed to transport participants from check-in at Fields Park to the trailhead on Hydro Street in Manitou Springs.
Afternoon shift drivers are needed to transport participants from the summit of Pikes Peak to Fields Park in Manitou Springs, and hikers from the Trailhead to Fields Park. Volunteers need to be comfortable with mountain driving in all conditions.
Volunteers must be between the ages of 25 and 67 and be comfortable driving a 15 passenger van. Volunteers must have a clean driving record with no DUI or DWI violations. Volunteers must attend the driver training session either in-person or virtually Thursday, August 12th at 7 PM. In-person location is El Paso County Search and Rescue in CO Springs.
Lunch and T-shirt provided.
