Website Support Volunteer

St. Francis Vet Care is a nonprofit veterinary clinic committed to providing accessible, compassionate care for pets in our community. We are seeking a detail-oriented Website Support Volunteer to help keep our website updated, accurate, and easy to navigate for the public.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in website management, copywriting, or digital communications who wants to contribute to a mission-driven organization in a meaningful way.

Volunteer Responsibilities

Website Support Volunteers may assist with:

• Updating website content to ensure information is accurate and current
• (services, clinic hours, contact information, FAQs, program updates)
• Copywriting and editing to improve clarity, professionalism, and consistency of website messaging
• Supporting event updates, including adding/updating event details, registration links, and announcements
• Assisting with website upkeep tasks such as organizing pages, updating staff/volunteer information, and refreshing outdated content
• SEO optimization (basic search engine improvements such as keyword updates, page titles/meta descriptions, headings, and readability)
• Helping improve website accessibility and compliance, including knowledge of ADA accessibility standards and best practices
• Identifying broken links, outdated pages, or content gaps and making improvement recommendations
• Supporting improvements to the user experience (navigation, layout suggestions, and content structure)

Qualifications

• Experience with website support, digital marketing, copywriting, communications, or related field preferred
• Strong writing and editing skills
• Familiarity with SEO best practices
• Comfortable working independently and communicating clearly with staff
• Reliability, professionalism, and attention to detail

(Experience with common website platforms such as WordPress/Wix/Squarespace is a plus — platform specifics provided during onboarding.)
