### Position Overview
The Executive Assistant to the CEO Volunteer will provide administrative and organizational support to the CEO by assisting with scheduling, communications, meeting coordination, and day-to-day executive tasks.
This role is ideal for someone interested in executive administration, operations, and nonprofit leadership while gaining hands-on experience working closely with senior leadership in a mission-driven organization.
Please note: This position requires the volunteer to be based in Edmonton, Alberta, as occasional in-person support may be required.
### Key Responsibilities
**Executive Support**
- Assist with calendar management and scheduling meetings
- Coordinate emails, correspondence, and follow-ups on behalf of the CEO
- Support speaking engagement scheduling and event coordination
- Assist with travel arrangements and logistics when required
- Help organize meeting agendas, notes, and action items
**Administrative Support**
- Follow up on key projects and stakeholder communications
- Help maintain organized records, documents, and files
- Assist with day-to-day administrative and operational tasks
- Support special projects as assigned by the CEO
**Team Collaboration**
- Work closely with the CEO and leadership team
- Coordinate with volunteers, department managers, and external partners as needed
- Assist in ensuring smooth communication across the organization
### Qualifications
- Interest in executive administration, operations, or project coordination
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar productivity tools
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Passion for nonprofit, education, or community-focused work
