Companionship volunteers provide compassionate support to hospice patients and their families through a number of ways. You can help by holding a hand, sharing a story, listening, reading, playing games, looking at photos together, or simply being present. Even a small amount of your time can mean the world to someone!
Spiritual Companions Reduce Isolation in Terminally Ill Patients
GentivaHospice is seeking compassionate spiritual companion volunteers to help brighten the lives of our patients. Whether playing spiritual music, praying with them, reading from a religious text, or simply providing a supportive presence, you can make a difference. Our volunteers serve patients and families in your area. Spiritual companions share their faith with patients of the same religious background and complement the services of our chaplains. They provide companionship, socialization, and active listening to our patients while also sharing their spirituality.
Even if you only have a few hours a month to give, we would be honored to have you join our team offering compassionate, patient-centered hospice care.
