Volunteers Needed – Make a Meaningful Difference

We are seeking compassionate volunteers to provide companionship, social interaction, respite support, and occasional help for terminally ill patients and their families.

Volunteers are asked to give up to three hours per week offering supportive presence and socialization in a patient’s home. No hands-on medical or personal care is required. Volunteers serve as a caring companion and an extra set of eyes, allowing caregivers time to rest or step away, while also bringing comfort and conversation to the patient.

This is a simple yet powerful way to give back to the Pahrump Valley community — with flexible scheduling and close-to-home opportunities.

To help you understand what to expect during the application process, we’d like to share our requirements for all Nathan Adelson Hospice Volunteers:

• A background check, which requires applicants to provide a social security number
• TB (tuberculosis) clearance which includes a blood test.
• Volunteer training consisting of approximately 6-8 hours of online training and in-person orientation.
