Love Animals? Want to help them find their forever home? Join Tri-County Humane Society (TCHS)'s Volunteer Team as a Shelter Animal Care Provider! You'll help TCHS in a variety of different ways including helping customers meet their new best friend. This position requires a two-hour shift every week. Customer service is an essential part of this role; volunteers assist potential adopters by answering questions and showing the animals. Volunteers also keep the animals' cages/kennels clean, socialize with the animals, and help with laundry, dishes, and general cleanup.

To become a volunteer, please fill out our application here: https://tricountyhumanesociety.org/volunteer/ You can learn more about the variety of volunteer opportunities available. Once you've submitted your application, it usually takes 1-2 weeks to process.
All incoming volunteers are background checked and must be a minimum of 14 years old to volunteer independently. Junior volunteers between 10-13 may volunteer alongside a parent/guardian.
Once your application has been approved, you will receive an email invitation to one of our orientations. 2 orientations are hosted each month at the shelter.
