Multiple Volunteer Opportunities – Housing, Outreach, Grant Writing & More

The Next Key Housing Access Foundation is growing our team! We are a nonprofit dedicated to advancing housing equity for families, voucher holders, immigrants, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and communities of color. We provide housing navigation, advocacy, and housing literacy programs to help families transition into safe and stable homes.

We are currently seeking volunteers for five roles. Applicants may select the area that best matches their skills and interests:

Grant Writer & Partnership Coordinator

• Research corporate giving programs (Target, Costco, Walmart, IKEA, Home Depot, Wayfair, etc.)
• Draft grant applications and donation requests for gift cards, furniture, and supplies
• Track applications in Airtable/Google Drive

Housing Literacy Workshop Volunteer

• Help design and deliver workshops for adults, families, and youth
• Create educational materials (slides, handouts, checklists)
• Mentor participants in budgeting, tenant rights, and housing navigation
• Run digital workshops once a month on zoom
• monitor digital tranning moduels for landlords, youths, tenants

Community Outreach & Partnerships Volunteer

• Connect with landlords, property managers, schools, and community partners
• Help organize events and outreach campaigns
• Support partnership building with local businesses and nonprofits

Administrative & Intake Support Volunteer

• Monitor nonprofit email inbox and intake forms
• Organize client data in Airtable/Google Drive
• Assist with corporate donation request forms (Target, Costco, etc.)

Communications & Social Media Volunteer

• Post updates on Instagram, LinkedIn, and newsletters
• Design graphics with Canva for events and programs
• Share stories of families, volunteers, and community impact
