VOLUNTEER POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Project Manager is a volunteer position in IMPACTability and is responsible for the project tracking and administration of our Disability Advocacy & Career Summit. This hybrid event in Manhattan, NY is scheduled for October 2025. The Project Manager reports to the President and Summit Committee and supports our Development and Education teams.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to the development of Project plans and timeline (strategic, implementation or otherwise).
- Track and manage Project progress against plans.
- Contribute in the coordination and administration of Project related tasks.
- Contribute in the development of documentation.
- Anticipate and manage risks to the Project.
- Coordinate and attend internal virtual Project Management status meetings.
- Seek ways in which to improve the efficiency of the Project (process, cost, and post project debrief).
- Contribute to Budget discussions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in a program / project manager role or similar experience.
- Experience tracking and managing project plans.
- Experience using a project management tool or Excel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and Word, and experience in Microsoft Office 365 SharePoint preferred but not required.
- New York Metro Area based volunteer preferred but not required.
- Volunteer must reside in the Continental USA.
VOLUNTEER DETAILS
- Time Commitment: Minimum of 2-4 virtual hours per month; which may include evenings.
- Be able to attend the Summit on October 2025.
