Administrative Office Volunteer Needed - Join Our Hospice Team! [Racine Office]

Schedule: Flexible weekday hours. Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Responsibilities:

• Assemble and organize brochures, packets, and folders
• Staple and label documents for team and patient materials
• Help with office mailings
• Assist with creating flyers, volunteer packets, and community materials
• Support Volunteer Coordinator with light tasks
• Occasionally make local runs to pick up office lunches or supplies [completely optional]
• Provide friendly companionships and social visits (conversation, watching TV, reading aloud, etc.)
• Offer an emotional support and a comforting presence to patients
• Communicate general updates about patients or concerns to the Volunteer Coordinator or other CMRN
• Complete visit reports within 24 hours after seeing a patient to ensure timely team updates
• Respect confidentiality and follow all hospice guidelines including HIPPA
• Uphold the dignity and comfort of each patient

Even as an office volunteer, we ask that you visit at least one hospice patient weekly for about an hour. This helps maintain a personal connection with our mission and supports our patients directly.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Hospice experience (preferred, not required)
• Must pass a background check
• Must have a negative TB test result
• Reliable, compassionate, and dependable
• Comfortable speaking with patients and families by phone and in person
• Detail-oriented with a professional attitude
