Become a Mass Care volunteer for the Red Cross!

Join a Mass Care team at the American Red Cross to support those affected by disasters locally and across the nation. Mass Care volunteers support the Red Cross mission by providing activities and services to the community as a whole including feeding, sheltering, reunification, and distribution of emergency supplies.

Tasks will vary depending on which area of Mass Care you choose to focus on. As a Feeding volunteer, you might be serve as Kitchen Crew, Inventory Crew, Mobile Feeding Crew, or other position on a local or national disaster relief operation. As a Sheltering volunteer, you will support the operation of a Red Cross shelter before, during, or after a disaster event.

Basic qualifications include:

• Ability to work in a continuously changing environment in which work priorities may change frequently.
• Comfortable interacting with people from various diverse background whose lives have been disrupted and many are presenting immediate needs.
• Comfortable working in a team environment as a frontline worker under the direction of a supervisor
• Valid Driver’s License (required for Divisional and National Deployments)
