Volunteer Coordinator

Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and organized Volunteer Coordinator to help support and engage our volunteer team. In this role, you will meet with volunteers, check in regularly, and coordinate online volunteer activities to ensure a positive and productive experience for everyone involved.

This is a volunteer role ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, building community, and gaining leadership or coordination experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct regular check-ins with volunteers (Zoom, phone, or chat)
• Provide support, encouragement, and guidance to volunteers
• Coordinate and assign online volunteer tasks and activities
• Track volunteer participation and engagement
• Assist with onboarding and orientation of new volunteers
• Communicate updates, expectations, and opportunities clearly
• Respond to volunteer questions and concerns in a timely manner

Requirements

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable using online tools (Zoom, Google Docs, Slack, etc.)
• Organized and able to manage multiple volunteers
• Reliable and committed
• Ability to work independently

Preferred (Not Required)

• Experience working with volunteers or coordinating teams
• Leadership or team management experience
• Familiarity with project management tools
