    GRANDmother's Circle is Looking for a Few Good Women

    JPA’s GRANDmothers Circle is a unique opportunity for women to create positive social

    change within neighborhood middle schools in the heart of the community. For an hour each week,

    volunteers (aka “GRANDS”) communicate and connect with 6th-8th grade girls through activities

    and conversation.

    Our Volunteers/GRANDS:

    • Are wise women not defined by age or having children/grandchildren
    • Share the goal of improving the lives of girls as they face the challenges of adolescence
    • Are matriarchs or leaders as defined by their family and peers
    • Have a genuine interest in communicating and connecting
    • Want to share and enhance their knowledge with adolescent girls
    • Have the time, consistency, and dedication to volunteer for an hour a week
    • Believe generations can learn from each other
