GlobalGiving Crowdfunding Specialist & Donor Relations (Volunteer)

About Us: Green Empowerment for Development (GEFD) is a proactive Women-Led Organization (WLO) dedicated to large-scale environmental restoration, green reconstruction, and sustainable community development in Yemen. We leverage innovative solutions to drive impactful change. Having proudly achieved Superstar status on GlobalGiving, we are seeking a passionate and experienced volunteer to help us maximize our digital fundraising efforts and deepen our connections with our global supporters.

The Role: We are looking for a highly motivated GlobalGiving Campaign Manager to oversee our organizational account, design compelling crowdfunding campaigns, and nurture relationships with our donors. You will play a critical role in mobilizing resources to support our on-the-ground environmental and agricultural training initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Platform Management: Oversee and optimize the GEFD GlobalGiving dashboard, ensuring all project pages are active, compelling, and up to date.
• Campaign Strategy: Plan and execute digital fundraising campaigns, particularly leveraging GlobalGiving’s matching days, bonus funds, and special campaigns (e.g., Little by Little, Year-End Campaign).
• Donor Stewardship: Draft and send timely, engaging project reports and personalized thank-you messages to donors to build long-term relationships and encourage recurring donations.
• Resource Mobilization: Identify new avenues for digital fundraising within the platform and assist in crafting persuasive project appeals.

Qualifications:

• Proven hands-on experience managing campaigns on GlobalGiving or similar major crowdfunding platforms.
• Excellent written communication skills in English, with the ability to tell compelling stories that drive donor engagement.
• Strong understanding of donor retention strategies and resource mobilization in the non-profit sector.
• A self-starter who can work independently in a remote environment.
• Passion for environmental sustainability, green development, and empowering local communities.
