Pittsburgh Science Workshop youth mentor

Work with youth of all ages after-school as they explore and bring their ideas to life! Our free community-based drop-in program provides an abundance of opportunities from building little machines, being creative with many mediums, trying out experiments, inventing, constructing and being creative, and observing and caring for animals and plants. Our goal is to provide an excellent and accessible enrichment opportunity for youth living in a neighborhood classified as in Extreme Need. We welcome caring adults from a variety of backgrounds to help program participants to discover new interests and develop their abilities and confidence. Science or engineering expertise is welcome but is not required. The most important thing is to enjoy working with young people and learning-by-doing, and be encouraging, resourceful, and positive!

• Our drop-in program will run WF 3:30-6pm. You are welcome to help on any of those days for any length of time!: Saturday August 23, 2025 - 16:00 to 18:00 EST
