Hands on Peru’s Hands to Care program is designed for university students interested in medicine, public health, global health, nursing, and other health-related fields.
Volunteers work alongside local health professionals and participate in community health campaigns, clinical experiences, hospital and health center shadowing, and medical classes while learning about healthcare in a cross-cultural setting. HOP’s current Hands to Care program emphasizes clinical exposure, approximately four hours of clinical experience per day, weekly medical classes, and cultural immersion.

No advanced Spanish is required.
This is a fee-based international volunteer program. The program fee supports accommodations, three meals per day, scheduled local transportation, airport pickup/drop-off in Trujillo, program activities, supervision, and in-country support.
