    About Global Paint for Charity

Global Paint for Charity (GPC) is an award-winning 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, and recognized by Charity Navigator and Candid/GuideStar for excellence in sustainability, transparency, and global impact.

Since 2010, GPC has recovered and repurposed more than 5 million gallons of surplus paint, diverting hundreds of thousands of tons of waste from landfills and redistributing paint to 44 countries, improving the homes, schools, clinics, and community spaces of more than 15 million people worldwide.

Our mission is to use color as a catalyst for change—transforming lives, uplifting neighborhoods, and reducing environmental waste. Through strategic partnerships, community outreach, and global initiatives, we bring hope, creativity, and sustainability to underserved communities across the United States and around the world.

    Why This Role Matters Now

Over the last 15 years, GPC’s work has expanded steadily, but the past year marked a major acceleration. Last year alone, we shipped hundreds of thousands of five-gallon buckets of paint, valued at more than $2 million, to communities in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica, Honduras, Belize, Guyana, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and beyond.

In many of these communities, families live on one dollar a day or less. A single gallon of paint in the U.S. costs $38 to $50, more than a month or even a year’s income for households in fragile towns and refugee camps. Because of GPC’s work and the dedication of our volunteers and partners:

    • Schools and classrooms were painted and restored
    • Women’s clinics and community centers were revitalized
    • Homes became safer, healthier, and more dignified

This year, 48 volunteers and interns formally joined our team, supported by more than 300 additional volunteers at paint drives. Together, they diverted paint from landfills, supported local artists and muralists in Wynwood, Miami, led home beautification in Tampa, created murals in Atlanta and Chicago, and delivered hope and color across Africa and the Caribbean.

At the same time, GPC is working with city mayors and local governments to introduce zero-paint-waste programs that create jobs, generate revenue, and improve neighborhoods. As the FIFA World Cup approaches across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada, cities are requesting paint to celebrate national pride and unity. Demand is growing rapidly, and events are central to how we mobilize communities, partners, and resources.

That is why the Events Administrative Manager role is critical at this moment.

    Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Events Administrative Manager to support GPC’s local, national, and international events portfolio. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about event management, marketing, sustainability, and global community service who want meaningful, hands-on experience within a growing nonprofit organization.

As an Events Administrative Manager, you will support planning, logistics, communications, and post-event reporting for a wide range of initiatives—from paint drives and community beautification projects to fundraising events and international outreach campaigns. You will collaborate closely with executive leadership, PR, and marketing teams, gaining a 360-degree view of nonprofit event strategy and execution.

This is not a passive role. You will help build systems, support execution, and ensure that events translate into real impact for communities we serve.

    Key Responsibilities

    Event Planning & Coordination

    • Collaborate with PR and Marketing to develop and publish event schedules
    • Coordinate logistics including calendars, meetings, travel arrangements, catering, and venue communications
    • Assist with presentations, proposals, and event briefing materials for leadership
    • Manage pre- and post-event data such as attendance, RSVPs, and participant feedback
    • Support setup for virtual and in-person events, including materials, supplies, and decor

    Communication & Relationship Management

    • Liaise with event hosts, partners, sponsors, and vendors to ensure deliverables are met
    • Draft correspondence related to invitations, sponsorships, confirmations, and post-event appreciation
    • Maintain organized event documentation, digital folders, and contact databases
    • Provide timely updates to the Web and Social Media teams for event listings, promotions, and recaps

    Administrative & Logistical Support

    • Coordinate committee meetings and track action items
    • Process donation and sponsorship forms with accuracy and confidentiality
    • Research new venues, partners, and event opportunities aligned with GPC’s mission
    • Support event marketing by drafting promotional copy, gathering photos, and assisting with public relations
    • Prepare reports analyzing event outcomes, key metrics, and recommendations for improvement

    Qualifications

    • Pursuing or holding a degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, Hospitality, or a related field
    • Strong organizational, multitasking, and project management skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
    • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive); familiarity with Excel, Word, Asana, Trello, or similar tools is a plus
    • Creative, collaborative, and detail-oriented
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Passion for sustainability, community development, and social impact
    • Prior event planning or fundraising experience is helpful but not required
