Volunteer at our 5k Charity Run Benefitting People with Disabilities

Heartshare is seeking volunteers to help at our 46th Annual Buckley's-Kennedy's Charity Run and after-party. All proceeds from the run will support Heartshare's mission to nurture and support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to help them reach their full potential. Join us for a fun day all while making a difference!

Volunteers are needed between the hours of 7am to 4:30pm on the day of the race, Sunday, June 14th, to perform the following tasks:

• Register runners
• Set-up and Clean-up
• Distribute T-shirts
• Help direct traffic
• Serve water along the course
• Run mile marker and finish line stations

Volunteer will be assigned to one or more of the following stations:

• Registration near start line 7am to 9am
• Distribute T-shirts - 7am to 9am
• Help Direct Traffic 7am to 9am
• Water Stop near Sugar Bowl - 10am-11:30am
• Finish Line - 10am to 1pm
• Set-up and clean-up (various locations)any volunteers in between tasks

We also need volunteers to help with pre-registration at the following locations:

• Buckley's Restaurant (2926 Avenue S, Brooklyn, NY 11229)
  • Friday, June 6th 3pm-8pm
  • Saturday, June 7th 12pm-6pm
• Kennedy's Restaurant (406 Bayside, Rockaway Point, NY 11697)
  • Friday, June 6th 12pm-6pm
  • Saturday, June 7th 1pm-5pm

No experience is necessary, and all volunteers will receive a free t-shirt and lunch.
