Volunteer Hospice Callers
Detalhes
Descrição
JSSA Hospice would love to have volunteers to make Tuck-in Calls to family members of Hospice patients
The Tuck-in Volunteer is a member of the patient’s interdisciplinary care team for a period of six weeks. Volunteers place phone calls on Wednesdays or Thursdays to contact patients and/or their family by phone, for the purpose of obtaining specific information that will assist in preparing patients for evenings and/or weekends. In addition, these volunteers help reinforce and help familiarize the patient/family on the correct protocols for reaching out to the Hospice team.
The Volunteer Bereavement Caller is an additional member of the Bereavement Team during the first 13 months after the patient’s death. Volunteer callers are available on weekdays to call deceased patient’s family member by phone, for the purpose of providing support and assessing coping skills.
We serve a very diverse population of patients and their families in all areas of Montgomery County, and we look forward to hearing from you! Please fill out our volunteer application,
