    Descrição

Manna Ministries, Inc. offers an Associate Degree volunteer opportunity for AA and AS students, recent graduates, community college students, and individuals seeking practical community-based service experience in nonprofit support, community outreach, program assistance, resident engagement, event support, basic administrative support, and neighborhood revitalization.

This opportunity is appropriate for students or graduates in human services, social services, business administration, education, public health, communications, criminal justice, community development, nonprofit service, or related fields. It may also be appropriate for individuals who have an associate-level background or who are seeking supervised community service experience connected to nonprofit programs, projects, events, and outreach.

Volunteer assignments may include office and program support, community outreach, event preparation, food distribution support, registration assistance, sign-in sheets, data entry, inventory forms, participant contact, meeting preparation, flyer distribution under supervision, basic research, resident engagement support, and community-based project support. Assignments may be adjusted based on the volunteer’s skills, interests, availability, service-learning requirements, school or program instructions, supervision needs, and Manna Ministries, Inc.’s organizational needs.

The volunteer may also support neighborhood-based activities connected to food insecurity, youth and family engagement, neighborhood safety, civic engagement, community cleanup, beautification, resident concerns, community forums, Neighborhood Watch support, and collaborative partnerships.

This is a volunteer opportunity. Participation does not create an employee-employer relationship and does not guarantee future paid employment, internship placement, board appointment, committee appointment, or continued volunteer placement. Final placement is based on eligibility, role requirements, supervision needs, availability, organizational approval, and current program needs.

    Responsibilities May Include

    1. Assist with community outreach and resident engagement activities.
    2. Support event preparation, setup, registration, hospitality, and cleanup.

    5. Support volunteer check-in and participant communication under supervision.
    6. Assist with basic data entry, document organization, filing, phone calls, outreach lists, and recordkeeping.
    7. Help with youth, family, neighborhood cleanup, beautification, garden, civic engagement, and community-based programs as assigned.
    8. Participate in approved meetings, orientations, trainings, forums, or special events as scheduled.
    9. Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, respectful communication, and appropriate conduct when working with residents, volunteers, donors, board members, partners, youth, families, and community members.
    10. Complete agreed-upon volunteer tasks within the approved schedule and sign in/out when service hours must be documented.
