Faith Hospice has several patients in the Surprise and West side area who would love to have companion or respite volunteers. Companion volunteers visit twice a month for about a half hour to an hour or more. They visit with the patient, watch TV, play games, and help combat loneliness.
Respite volunteers offer family members/caregivers a break for 3 hours. Caregivers feel overwhelmed and often need a break to take a nap, get a shower, go to lunch with a friend, run errands. Volunteers go to the home and sit with the patient.
All volunteers are trained by Faith Hospice and are cared for by our volunteer manager. If you are interested, please reach out to Corrina at ccasson@faithofaz.com
Patient address will be given at the time of the assignment
We do background checks using social security numbers. All HR files are locked up. TB tests are done in house. We will need you to have CPR training and can help with that.
