Peer Academic Tutor for Low-Income Students

ConnectEd is a student-led nonprofit connecting older student volunteers with younger learners who need free 1-on-1 academic support. We are looking for motivated middle and high schoolers who want to earn verified volunteer hours while making a real difference in a student's life.

As a ConnectEd tutor, you will:

• Be matched 1-on-1 with a younger student who needs academic support in STEM or core subjects
• Hold weekly or biweekly virtual sessions via Google Meet (30 to 60 minutes each)
• Earn verified volunteer hours logged and approved by our leadership team
• Have the opportunity to advance to Senior Tutor and take on leadership roles

No prior tutoring experience is required. We provide full onboarding, a structured session format, and ongoing support from our team. All sessions are fully online, so you can volunteer from anywhere on a schedule that works for you.

This opportunity is ideal for students seeking NHS volunteer credit, community service hours, or meaningful leadership experience for college applications.
