Volunteer opportunities in Elkhart, South Bend, and Mishawaka

We are looking to grow our amazing team of Volunteers both in the field providing companionship & socialization to our patients at home, caregiver respite, so care takers can run errands and go to appointments. Our patients could also benefit from crafters creating useful items like fidget mats or sleeves, and administrative office volunteers.

Our administrative volunteers support us in a number of ways, including:

1. Assisting in the office putting together binders and packets for patients and families.
2. Organize the patient supply room, put away new product, check for expiration dates.
3. Answer phones
4. Sending out Bereavement mailings, support group letters
5. Assisting with Memorial Service setups, readings

Our patient volunteers visit with our patients wherever they call home. This could be residential, nursing home, assisted living, memory care etc.

Volunteers can provide companionship in a number of ways! Talking, praying, coloring, crafting, playing games, singing, helping them organize their space, helping them with laundry, walk their dog and much more.

Crafters can assist us in gifting our patients with useful items like walker bags, fidget mats or sleeves, lap blankets, shawls, hats, booties etc.

We are also seeking pet volunteers that spend time with their 4-legged companion & our patients. Pets must be up to date on shots, well mannered, and friendly.

Our offices are open Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm. There is no set schedule or minimum number of days per month required. We are flexible and appreciate what time and talent you may have available to share with us.

All volunteers must be 18+, consent to a criminal history check and complete orientation and ongoing education throughout each year.

We service the following counties, and are always looking for more volunteers to service our patints. We believe everyone can benefit from a friendly face and companionship.
