    Organization Overview

    The Human Provision is a newly formed nonprofit organization founded in 2025 and dedicated to supporting individuals and communities experiencing disadvantage. Our work centers on improving access to essential resources, strengthening supportive pathways, and fostering dignity, stability, and long-term self-sufficiency.

    Founded by professionals in medicine, The Human Provision operates at the intersection of compassion, evidence-based practice, and community-driven solutions. We are currently in an early growth phase and are building strong infrastructure to support sustainable programming and long-term impact.

    Position Summary

    The Grant Writer will play a critical role in advancing The Human Provision’s mission by researching, developing, and submitting high-quality grant proposals to foundations, corporations, and public funding sources. This individual will work closely with organizational leadership to translate mission, programs, and impact goals into compelling funding narratives.

    This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, mission-aligned grant professional who is excited to help build a nonprofit’s funding foundation from the ground up.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Research and identify grant opportunities aligned with the organization’s mission and programs
    • Prepare and submit grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and funding applications
    • Collaborate with leadership to gather programmatic, financial, and impact data
    • Assist in developing grant calendars, tracking deadlines, and maintaining submission records
    • Support post-award reporting requirements as applicable
    • Contribute to grant strategy development and funding diversification efforts

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Strong written communication skills with the ability to translate mission and programs into compelling narratives
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment
    • Commitment to ethical nonprofit practices and mission-driven work

    Preferred:

    • Prior experience with nonprofit grant writing or fundraising
    • Familiarity with foundation, corporate, or government funding sources
    • Experience working with early-stage or growing nonprofit organizations
    • Knowledge of grant databases (e.g., Foundation Directory Online)

    Time Commitment

    • Flexible, estimated 5–10 hours per week
    • Remote position
    • Schedule coordinated collaboratively with leadership

    Compensation

    This position is currently structured as a volunteer role, with the intention to transition to paid compensation as funding is secured. Compensation structure and rate will be discussed transparently with selected candidates.
