English Teacher Volunteer (HELP English)

As a HELP English Volunteer, you'll support fun, interactive English sessions for local children while gaining valuable experience in community development and education. You'll work alongside the REC Coordinator and Programme Manager as part of a supportive team. This role is also available as a coordinator for those who would like more responsibility and depending on our needs as an organisation.

Teaching for the HELP English project only takes a few hours each week, so you'll also have the opportunity to get involved in a range of other volunteer activities, including English classes in local schools and libraries, youth and environmental projects, homework support, girls' education initiatives, and community improvement projects. This varied role allows you to contribute around 25 hours per week while exploring different aspects of OCN's work.

Based in the coastal town of Huanchaco, you'll experience Peruvian culture, improve your Spanish through daily interactions, meet people from around the world, and make a meaningful impact in the local community. This role is also available as an internship for students completing a placement or year abroad.
