Join Our Pet Therapy Volunteer Team at Autumn Hospice

Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Do you have a caring heart and a love for dogs? Autumn Hospice invites you to become part of our compassionate team as a Pet Therapy Volunteer.

We’re seeking volunteers who have therapy-certified dogs or dogs that have successfully completed the American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen Test. Volunteers and their canine companions will visit hospice patients in a variety of settings, including nursing homes, assisted living communities, skilled nursing facilities, and private residences.

Role Type: Volunteer (unpaid)

Schedule: Flexible — you choose your availability and assignments

What We’re Looking For:

• • Excellent communication and active listening skills
  • Ability to pass a background check and follow Autumn Hospice’s policies
  • Commitment to completing our volunteer training program
  • Therapy dogs must be current on core vaccinations: rabies, distemper, parvovirus, leptospirosis, and adenovirus.
