Greeter with Summit County Citizen Circle

Basic volunteer duties involved with this assignment:

1. Greet client upon his/her arrival
2. Give client clipboard & paperwork and instruct him/her to complete to the best of his/her ability
3. Notify chairperson if someone arrives for Citizen Circle and doesn't have an appointment

Every client with or without an appointment

What is the anticipated benefit of this volunteer service to those receiving the service?

To provide a welcoming environment to the client. In most cases, this is the client's first appointment with Citizen Circle

What specific skills will the volunteer need?

No specific skills required. Just need to have a kind personality.

Summit County Citizen Circle is looking for 4 or 5 volunteers to work on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm. The meeting location is The Front Porch at 798 Grant St., Akron, OH, 44311. Volunteer duties are to help pass out lunches, surveys, bus or gas cards, and help with other miscellaneous duties to clients who are all Justice Involved Individuals. These individuals have either been in jail, in prison, on probation or on parole and are reentering society.
