Join us for the 20th annual Triangle LUNGe Forward 5K Run, Walk & Celebration on March 21 at Koka Booth Amphitheater. This event will unite up to 500 people to make a difference for lung cancer across North Carolina.
It will be a day of celebration and remembrance, as well as a day to TAKE ACTION and provide HOPE to those impacted by lung cancer.

This is the perfect time to gather your team — friends, family, coworkers — and kick off your fundraising journey. Every step taken and every dollar raised helps us grow awareness, fund research, and support those affected by lung cancer.

Volunteer at the Triangle LUNGe Forward 5K!
Our volunteers are truly at the heart of what we do. Each year, the Triangle LUNGe Forward depends on dedicated community members who bring energy, kindness, and spirit to the event. Whether you’re organizing materials at sunrise or cheering on participants at the finish line, your support makes the day unforgettable.
We’re currently seeking volunteers to help with:
- Event set-up
- Course management
- Area staffing
- Cheerleading
- Event breakdown
- …and more!
We love celebrating our volunteers and hope you’ll join in the festive, fun atmosphere of race day. All volunteers will receive a volunteer tshirt.
Age Requirements:
Volunteers must be 17 years or older. Those 16 and under will need parent/guardian consent to participate.
