Scrapbooking - Newspaper articles / History

Angels For Action a 501c 3 nonprofit is looking for a volunteers who can help us organize our physical newspaper(s). If you have experience in scrap booking, very organized, detail oriented and are looking for a way to give back to your community this could be the opportunity for you. This will help keep our records updated and more transparency to our supporters on the impact we made over the years.

We will provide all the necessary supplies and materials. Letters for community service if needed (minimum 48 hours).

Objective:

1. Very organized and loves labeling and/or color coding
2. Proficient in reading both English and Spanish (optional)
3. Hybrid
   • Can either take some home
   • Or work during our open hours on-site

Tasks:

1. Cut up newspaper articles (we have a ready pile!)
   • Make sure the year and date is visible, if not then write it on the article
   • Communicate with our director (on questions, more info)
   • Place in a plastic clear sleeve if needed
   • Designated box with dividers or scrapbook by Year

• Digitalize (only if time, so secondary)
  • Familiar with scanning and computers
  • Scan articles to computer in same order
  • Name file accordingly ( YYYY-MM Article Name.jpg ) example
  • place in virtual folders by year (same as physical box/book) in our designated G drive folder
