Kitchen Aide Volunteer- Moreno Valley

Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community? The Family Service Association (FSA) Senior Nutrition Program in Moreno Valley is seeking dedicated volunteers to support our senior meal programs.

FSA provides a safe, welcoming environment where older adults can socialize, build connections, and enjoy nutritious meals through our congregate dining program. We also prepare and deliver meals to homebound seniors who rely on this essential service. Join our team and help make a positive difference in the lives of local seniors.

Volunteer Responsibilities

• Assist staff with meal preparation and food portioning.
• Wear required protective equipment, including gloves, aprons, and appropriate hair coverings.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist with wrapping, date-labeling, storing, and rotating food items.
• Perform general cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen counters, equipment, and work areas.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and maintaining inventory of food and supplies.

Volunteer Schedule

• Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
• Flexible volunteer schedules are available.
• Volunteers may serve 2 days per week for 4-hour shifts, or volunteer additional days and hours based on their availability.

Requirements

• Dependable and willing to work as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a kitchen environment.
• Commitment to maintaining food safety standards.
• Must complete and successfully pass a Live Scan background check.
