URBAN Farm Recovery Days — Volunteers Needed GROWING HOPE GARDENS

    Farm Recovery Days—Volunteers Needed

Help Our Free Urban Farm Grow Again. Join Growing Hope Gardens for a Volunteer Urban Farm Recovery Day and help us restore the farm after an unexpected five-week closure.

Following serious threats and assaults against members of our team, we temporarily closed the farm to protect our employees, interns, volunteers and community. The individual responsible is now in custody, and it is safe for us to reopen and welcome everyone back.

During the closure, we lost crops and seedlings and fell behind on essential farm care. Now we need our community’s help to get the farm growing again.

    Tuesdays, Wednesdays 9-11 & Saturdays 8-11

    Volunteers will help with:

    • Pruning fruit trees
    • Harvesting fresh produce
    • Replanting growing areas
    • Watering
    • Composting

Tasks may vary depending on what the farm needs that day. Our team will guide you, and no gardening experience is necessary.

Your help will allow us to restore the farm and restart the food access, educational and community programs that take place here. This recovery is about more than catching up on farm work. It is about moving forward together and restoring a place where people grow food, learn, volunteer, connect and care for one another.

    What to Bring

Please wear closed-toe shoes, comfortable clothes that can get dirty and sun protection. Bring a reusable water bottle and gardening gloves if you have them.

Come for part of the event or stay for the full recovery day. Every helping hand makes a difference!
