    Help Shape the Future of a Growing Nonprofit

    Organization: Center for Movement Challenges (CFMC)

    Location: Sandy Springs, GA

    Volunteer Position: Board of Directors Member

    Time Commitment: Approximately 4–8 hours per month

    The Center for Movement Challenges (CFMC) is seeking passionate, community-minded individuals to join our Board of Directors and help advance our mission of improving quality of life for individuals living with Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders.

    Founded in 2013, CFMC provides specialized exercise, wellness programs, education, support services, and community connections that help people stay active, independent, and engaged. As demand for our services continues to grow, we are seeking dedicated leaders who can help guide the organization through its next phase of growth and impact.

    What Board Members Do

    Board members serve as ambassadors for CFMC and provide strategic oversight, governance, and support to ensure the organization's long-term success.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Attending regular board meetings
    • Serving on a committee or task force
    • Supporting fundraising and community engagement efforts
    • Helping increase awareness of CFMC's mission and programs
    • Providing strategic guidance and professional expertise
    • Assisting with board development and community partnerships

    Ideal Candidates

    We welcome individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in:

    • Healthcare
    • Finance or accounting
    • Marketing and communications
    • Fundraising and philanthropy
    • Legal services
    • Business leadership
    • Human resources
    • Community outreach
    • Nonprofit management

    Previous board experience is helpful but not required.
